Crystal Morgan wasn’t always able to give back. She was diagnosed with cancer at age 21 and soon afterward found herself a single parent with two young children. Through financial assistance from the Y, she was able to improve her health and find a place where her children could learn a sense of community. “For me the Y is the community place. The Y encourages people to live life, not just go through the motions,” she says.
Today, Crystal has a passion for paying it forward. Her bright disposition and warm smile are well known at the Lansdale Area Family YMCA. She loves the Y and has created a blood pressure program that offers free blood pressure screenings at the Y and various places in the community. She’s the Director of Admissions at Golden LivingCenter in Lansdale and as part of her Resident Ambassador Program she brings one special associate from the center each time she comes. She believes that the Y connects people. Making friendships and building relationships is important to her.
Her motto is how she lives by on a daily basis. “Live a life that’s mindful and purposeful to others. When you’re passionate about something, you’re able to give back.”
